Heroes of the Storm is a battle arena type online battlefield game that was developed by Blizzard. The game resembles the Defense of the Ancient (Dota) franchise as the core game mechanics are the same as dota. Heroes of the Storm consists of a game which is free to play by all but the revenue is generated through in game purchases of items for the hero or new heroes all together.
The game consists of maps usually they are 10 maps with the traditional type arena setup. 8 of these maps have the 3 lane setup where the heroes can attack on these 3 lanes or the jungle from where the players can farm for gold to buy items and upgrade their heroes. These lanes also have creeps that are NPC and they are placed on the battlefield every 1 minute. These creeps move from the start to the enemies base and attack anything that comes in their way. These 3 lanes are protected by towers that keep heroes at bay and attack them when they are close to them. Heroes of the Storm download is free and is in full version for all.
Heroes of the Storm has about 50 heroes at the time of writing this article. The heroes selection is based on randomly giving players a group of heroes and from there they can choose any. There is also the choice of players buying the heroes and this allows them to choose those heroes in any match they like. Heroes of the Storm has heroes based on the characters of multiple games of Blizzard such as Warcraft, Overwatch , Diablo , StarCraft etc.
